So here's some insight, I have to install Windows 7 in an old machine since that's what my friend prefers. If anyone knows a fix for this then please tell me! Any help at all would be greatly appreciated! ^-^ I've also tried turning off the USB Selective suspend option, wich still did not work.Īnother thing is that a while back, whenever i would to plug my headset into another USB port than its normal one, it would to constantly disconnect and reconnect every second, i don't know if it could be related, but yeah. (Also i've tried running it on my friends laptop and it worked fine, so i'm pretty sure its not the headset itself). I've already re-installed windows7 (64bit) and before and after re-installed all my drivers (Most of them anyways, could have missed one). The time it takes for it to disconnect is random with sounds playing in the browser (usually ranging from 0-20 minutes), but it usually disconnects in an instant whenever i'm starting a skype call, or just have skype open, but still does it with skype uninstalled and closed. Question Computer laggy, cannot play videos or games.I have a plantronics gamecom 780 headset, and since about a week ago its started to completely stop working whenever i have sound playing of any kind, and the only way to fix it is to take it out of the USB port, and plug it back in.

Occasionally it will make the connect sound. Now it constantly makes the USB disconnect sound and my monitor flashes black for a millisecond. So I did that and re-setup my computer and programs and I thought I had seen the last of it. I finally decided to choose the "Refresh my PC" option for windows 8. The next few days after it continued with that and I searched far and wide over the internet for solutions. The next time it did it, instead of going to a black screen, it went to a grey one that said "D-SUB Out of Range 75hz/60hz." So I unplug the D SUB cable from my monitor and plug it back in and it fixed the problem for the time. About 2 hours later it did the same, I repeated.
So I turned my computer off and back on and it was fixed. But after it came back on, the resolution was set to the lowest instead of my normal 1920x1080. So let me start with the backstory: Starting around last weekend my computer monitor randomly went black, mad the USB disconnect sound, and came back on.
